After Hunter X Hunter, I’m gonna pray to the Lord for Bang Zoom to dub Star Driver next. If it took nearly six-seven years for Anohana to get a dub, I don’t see a reason why another anime (and a severely underrated one at that) doesn’t deserve one.

3) SSSS Gridman is a show I want to see aired on Toonami. Based on tokusatsu series Gridman the Hyper Agent, it does well in adapting a series for a new audience while retaining the aesthetic classic fans remember. Plus the animation and music is just amazing.

2) The Vision of Escaflowne, though underrated, launched the careers of staff and cast members alike into the anime industry. Blending fantasy and technology (and music from Yoko Kanno), the series makes for a good watch if you’re interested in the classics.

#1stAnimeCrush would hands down be a tie between Umi from Magic Knight Rayearth and Dryden from The Vision of Escaflowne.

This said a lot about my tastes in underrated anime and me being bi.

#SSSSGridman gave me two relatable main girls in the fact I can either be 1) chilling with my friends about random topics at school and 2) secretly plotting world destruction all while fangirling over giant monsters.
