#Fibonacciinnature Chicory ~ wildflower has a tendency to be a real magnet for Leaf cutter bees & several other Solitary bees, the stunning floriferous azure blue blooms upto 8 months & easily grows in pots - yet even lovelier en-mass or alongside single spikes of Hollyhocks
Soon time for the emergence of overwintering Solitary Bees, particularly Hairy-footed flower bees ~ Anthophora plumipes from within my loam mix nest boxes, with Lungworts a plentiful to fodder on.

@MyGardenPlot1 Maximising a natural habitat is essential, offering diverse planting. A bee obs nest box keeps them ‘happy’ here
My blog isn’t live atm yet incredible folk as @N_Nature https://t.co/MiGfDjULOm & @foxleas_marc https://t.co/hSF2AGZdUS offer immense Mason advice/factsheets/footage
Enough time for a quick early wander for #orchidchallenge @wildflower_hour Luckily they’re all within one location @ukorchids
Meandering the breezy meadowlands, a 1st rare glimpse of Silene italica ~ Italian Catchfly now in flower nicely fitting into #naturesblanket @BSBIbotany @wildflower_hour @theNPMS @Love_plants @NHM_Botany
What I love most about these 2019 #Solitarybee observational nesting boxes @N_Nature is once the boys (see the moustache) have ‘visited’ the girls, it doesn’t stop there.
As from here on the observational window allows the observer to check in to how the females lays each egg
Spurred on by the single azure blue escapee Chicory plant that flowered for 7.5 months.
For this amazing floriferous wildflower attracted:
~ Solitary bees
~ Bumblebees
~ Butterflies
What a magnificent magnet for pollinators and one I had to include into this years sowing patch
So what did an 8 year old sharing my camera discover this week asides a Song thrush? Well, that Toads are tucked into stonewalls, blossoms vary and lime green Alexandras are now flanking our roadside verges
Think their parents will be seeking @herbologyhunt
