Homelander after Deku flicks his fucking finger at him: https://t.co/L5O7cTqB05
the animation speaks for itself tbh, but Tetsuhito Saitō's storyboarding talents deserve praise too, especially the constant use of split-screen shots separating our fighters not with a clean line, but a gradient
the line between them is blurring, you could say
Ogiso's supervision carries into the character art as well, every drawing has such a strong sense of depth and volume
unbelievable power
so Bleach #31 turned out not to be very sakuga-heavy despite boasting Shingo Ogiso as AD, but the powerhouse duo of storyboard artist Tetsuhito Saitō and the late Kazunori Mizuno as director turned up a more than competent action episode
totally unprompted but Yutaka Kamogawa is an animator whose work I'm very fond of but who doesn't get recognized that much despite his effects work being extremely strong
no adjective I can think of to describe his smoke other than DENSE
Watched Rebuild of Evangelion 2.0
starts off pretty good enough but once the third act hits and shit goes off the rails, it's genuinely one of the best anime experiences I've had, the final scene in particular was masterful
overall 8.5/10, excited for 3.0 to totally wreck me
Also toward the midpoint is this really nice brief action scene with lots of snappy movement
Initially believed to be among the cuts Hiroyuki Imaishi did but probably his revisions on another animator's layout (or vice versa?) instead
