Now that the game is in English, thanks to the release of the remake, it's even more obvious to me that Sakura Wars took a lot of ideas from Doukyuusei. The creators often quote Tokimeki as an inspiration but the ADV sections in SW are basically a condensed version of Doukyuusei.

Today is the 4th anniversary of Valkyria Chronicles 4's release in Japan! A great entry in a great franchise. I really enjoyed playing VC4 back in 2018 and I hope that someday we will get a fifth installment.
There is a scene that stuck with me from an anime called "Gamers!" where a character passionately recommends an old dating sim to his friend called Rainbow Court. I found out later that this was a reference to Prism Court, a PS1 title that has a cult following in Japan.

Happy December 1st! Here are some Christmas cards made by Nihon Falcom in the 90s. They were included in a program released by Falcom called “Sonomanma Print” that allowed users to design/print customized greeting cards, calendars, and other stuff.
Recently remembered the existence of this nice teaser image for "Utawarerumono 2" (later renamed to "Mask of Deception") back when it was first announced as a PS3 exclusive in 2011.
Here is also an illustration done by Minako Iwasaki for the Falcom Chronicles book in 2011.
