I'll be at Dragon*Con in Atlanta this weekend! If you're going, come say hi at booth 20 in the art show (Hyatt Regency, Lower Level) and see my art in person! I'll have prints, playmats, metals, originals with me.
@DevSpacePrez Thanks! Just glad it came together in the end. This was a bit out of my wheelhouse, and figuring out stuff like that it's a fixed-wing ship and how it looks turned in space (vs the reference) took a minute.
My last card in Dominaria United. It sounds like it'll be useful? Love the flavor text!
"Haunted Mire"

@floofyryan Yep! Earliest version was this one, and eventually I'll probably put some characters in, but what they'll look like is an evolving question for my world-building.
And by contrast, THIS is the sort of feeling I want to have about art. An exploration into myself and my experiences, with wonders always over the horizon, reached by a worthy hike. "High Road to Caldareum" personal project.
Initial sketch for a new piece on my Pаtrеоn: "The Flooded Spires Quarter".
On a hot summer day, enjoy this freezing illustration for Numenera, "Aras Island". I like to think the monstrosity stumbling out is just very sauced.
"Kaparin," an early piece for Numenera. I tended to struggle more with the pieces that required a bunch of characters--not my cup o tea. In order: Final, sketch a, sketch b, mid-work in progress.
"Cinnabar's Legions", another blast from the past, this was originally a self-pub album cover (square), but I thought it needed a vertical extension to tell the story I wanted to tell with it. Sketch & square version included.
Rorschach tests in their first stages, before I resolve the chaos into a concept, narrative, composition, and environment that interests me to explore further. The rest is mostly just rendering & precision.
