Of all the old pixel-horror RPG Maker games I enjoyed back in the day, The Witch's House may be the most haunting and depressing of them all. This 2-volume prequel manga adds plenty more despairing details for fans to enjoy. (The Chibi Vampire artist does *great* work here.)
"Funnier than Nichijou? Impossible!" you might say. But the reality is, anything is possible in the world of CITY, and it's always hilarious. If you are looking for a manga to make you laugh, pick up a volume or 13 of Keiichi Arawi's "City."
The Higurashi anime and visual novels are popular, but it's rare for people to bring up the manga. It's personally my favorite take on the horror/drama series -- not too fast (anime), not too slow (VN). The artists vary depending on the story arc, and they're all great.
Mixed Vegetables is an 8-volume high school romance manga. The girl is a successor to a pastry shop but wants to be a sushi chef, and the boy is the opposite. It's a light and charming series, and I hope we can see more of Ayumi Komura's works in English one day.
The setting for this one is New York, so I kind of get Blood Blockade vibes
The art style here is really neat. It really reminds me of... 90s manga? Like this could've totally been a cool Tokyopop paperback I picked up from the library, that had torn corners and smelled weird
Jack Flash and the Faerie Case Files (vol 1)
manga by Yu Godai (story) and Mako Oikawa (art)
This is a spin-off of The Ancient Magus' Bride manga by Kore Yamazaki.
The urban fantasy mystery setup for this one intrigued me
