i'm significantly messed up over how this pose vaguely and accidentally resembles mighty's chaotix art, one of his only official renders for decades and one of the few chaotix things i haven't been able to fit in anywhere in mighty redone https://t.co/2B5YGxKHvS
the pose used here is a heavy edit of one of mighty's unused sprites from chaotix!
in la-mulana, the protagonist (lemeza kosugi) has four different sprites for getting hurt, and the game picks which one it uses based on which side he got hurt from. as of today, i just finished replacing all four for sonic!
directly inspired by an image edit done by my friend @Chenginerd (shown on the left) and an animation frame from Matsumura Kunihiro Den: Saikyou no Rekishi o Nurikaero!, a japan-only fighting game starring a goofy comedian
they aren't perfect references since i can't change where his arms are on his sprites, but i based the jumping and landing keyframes on these sonic 1 & cd sprites.
whoa thanks for the tag! i'll spread this positivity around to @Mia_uRi, @HinkityPinkity, @fairyqrtz, and @sakuracila! all good artists & good peoples, and almost all of them have fewer followers than me, too. give them a look... for me https://t.co/I7BVFFT0Ih
@artisyone oh wowie! i'm a cool sonic artists, i think
i do pixel art & animation and i've been working on a sonic mania mod that reworks all of mighty's animations to be more on-model and unique from sonic!
a couple of ocs of mine, drawn in art style my friend @mitsamemario developed for a beat-'em-up that my friends and i have been on-and-off planning for the better part of a decade
a vertically-oriented piece i drew for a photo-redraw contest held by @doorintomighty!
