It's shaped like a penis and for that it loses me.

Also it was the predecessor of certain trend I really hated regarding Fire Starters
(I'll talk about that in the next one)

Torchic is definitely the cutest of the base staged Hoenn Starters

Due to its Gen 3 Sprite I used to think it only had one foot. XD

Also it has one of the funniest Gender Differences I've ever seen in this franchise.

Mega Sceptile takes an already good design and makes it even GOODER!

The Tail looks even more Christmas Tree like and it can be used like a Rocket Launcher! How cool is that?

Also Grass/Dragon (at the time it came out) was a completely unique typing!

Sceptile is awesome too.

I only I wish it kept the big head leaf Grovyle had. But gaining a big Christmas Tree Tail makes up for it 🤣

Grovyle is pretty awesome!

I must admit that a lot of this is contributed to Pokémon Mystery Dungeon but I think it may be my favorite Mid Stage Starter of all time.

But even outside of that it has a cool Design and Leaf Blade is one of the best Gras moves of all time

It was the very first Starter I ever picked in the very first game I've ever played (Ruby) so admittedly I've got some nostalgia for it

It has a cool design and it's fun to use in game (provided you're not facing Wattson 😵)

Feraligatr is pretty cool. It's pretty solid in game.

Tho cutting to the chase, I'm not gonna lie and pretend that I don't have War Flashbacks of it's Gen 3 Back Sprite.

Totodile is quite the goofy little fellow!
But it's charming and always happy and I like that about it.

Despite liking Chikorita and Cyndaquil more I always end up picking Totodile more than often not every time I play Johto Games
