I’m experimenting with acrylics, layering glazes to create depth and using opaque layers of paint to make the form jump out. I’m wondering now if I should have included his logo.

Warm up sketch and process. First time drawing the big blue and it was surprisingly fun. There is something about the iconic nature of this character that brings to mind the hope and optimism of the golden age of American comics.
