On 4 October 1957 - 60 years! - the first artificial satellite, Sputnik 1, was launched by the Soviet Union. My painting of it in space.

September 5th is the 40th anniversary of Voyager 1&2. I painted this, of Voyager 2 at Saturn, in 1981 for my book Atlas of the Solar System
