Manga sales in N. America are now on an upswing again, and that means more sales/profit = more leeway for publishers to take chances on more long shots, like classic/older manga series, both in print & digital-only releases - like Kaiji, Orochi & works by Yoshiharu Tsuge.

But when English comics readers don't have exposure to the manga series that influenced the anime and manga that they enjoy today, it's a missed opportunity to understand where manga has been and how this history influences where it's going. This is why classic manga matters.
