More colour studies today. Think I've stumbled upon an approach that works for me (most of the time), starting with a giant rough square brush and detailing down from there.
Something like this but, y'know', looking like it was drawn by someone with skills.
Crawled back to my comfort zone for some therapy after dabbling in colour. Apparently figures are my comfort zone now, so that's... good?
Weening myself onto colour by painting stills of pretty cake from YouTube baking vids. Not bad considering I haven't used colour in a couple of years. I could do a lot more with this but it's starting to hurt to look at, so this'll do.
Did an experimental RPG session using https://t.co/eihqWZykob and then I drew my elven dog companion, Lyralei, in MS paint, and she is the best girl.
Done some iteration on my >10 year old design to try and get some sort of vibe going for how to do pixels with more energy. I like the idea of a helmetless sprite but I cant make a face that I like.
