@Tate This watercolour: A Turk (1863, @Tate) by Dadd, was made from the sketchbooks he produced when travelling around the Middle East in 1843. He took these sketchbooks to Bedlam (where he was sent prior to Broadmoor), after he murdered his father, & he continued to work from them.
