Grumpy girl digital art practice!
#procreate #digitalpainting #digitalart #DigitalArtist
Incidentally, here's my portrait of Mary Wollstonecraft, from a 2016 exhibition in Melbourne.
Busy busy with some digital practice. Thinking of all my US friends and followers at the moment - I know the sentiment of this pic is horribly inappropriate for the times, unless people are yawning because they've stayed up all night watching the vote count!
#Digitober day 12, The Good Little Mouse.
'The fairy found the turkey-maiden barefooted and miserably dressed in an old, coarse linen gown. The King's son stood opposite her, declaring angrily that if she would not marry him she should be killed.'
Some of my favourite old illustrations of #CelticFolklore creatures (from five years ago now!). The Baobhan Sith, Each Uisge, Kelpie (in two forms!) and the Gancanagh.
@DrSamGeorge1 Oooh I love these ones. I did a series of illustrations a few years back of dangerous creatures from Celtic folklore, including two of the Baobhan Sith! Where do you go for source material on them? I only found a few examples of stories at the time!
#Digitober day 8, The Good Little Mouse.
'Once upon a time there lived a King and Queen who loved each other so much that they were never happy unless they were together.'
(Honestly the least interesting part of this amazing fairy tale, but it's what I felt like drawing!)
#Digitober day 6, Felicia and the Pot of Pinks.
'Felicia cried more bitterly than ever and went away to her own little room... Going to the pinks she said sadly "beautiful pinks, you are so sweet and pretty, you are the only comfort I have left."
(Pinks = dianthus flowers)
