@aflorane https://t.co/03PA2CoaBt Strongly recommend this for learning about edges.
Here's an example of good edge control; see how there's HARD edges on the chair, flynn's jacket folds, their feet and legs, but where light touches the edge blends out? Use edge control to tell story!
@Mariteixeiraart hierarchy of focal points is. Where is the most important spot in the image? The second most important? How does the value and color scheme support this?
You have really fascinating ideas, but your compositions are a little unfocused so it's hard to read them!
@ReubenYeoArt people who do this well with creatures, like @April_Prime or Ovopack, would probably be a good place to start!
Gesture drawing is something I personally find useful for this as well. :3
@ReubenYeoArt Great work so far Reuben! I love this piece haha, it's so cute.
My suggestions for things to work on would be;
1. Acting and dynamic posing! You're doing a great job on values and material read, which is something I see people struggling with a lot. Something that could--
@hexsharpe anatomy and use good reference is important to making the whole piece read at the same level.
2. Value read- you tend to use the same value range across the whole piece. Try to separate values ranges into clear groupings before you render! credit @cheekiebrush
