Artists have to live with rejection, by critics, the public or collectors. Even after receiving a commission, success is not guaranteed. #abnegation by the customer can be devastating. Even the greats suffered thus #ElGreco, #Hogarth, #Brangwyn & infamously #Sutherland #vss365
