Making a new simple rule: no copying. I don't think I'm learning the right things from these direct copy studies.

Getting into a lot more detail with focused studies than I ever would with a full portrait. Gonna do more of these

Was ready to declare this a disaster, but I managed to fix it. I like how the lighting turned out.

Huge trouble with skintone colors. Spent 1.5 hours to make the left one not look like banana icecream

Boss enemies. Noticed I spent a huge majority of the time making lineart again. Colors and rendering suffered.

Robot team. Valiant policebot, clumsy dumb comic relief medic bot, over-eager ninja bot and aggressive punchbot

Spent ~6 hours on this warmup doodle thing. Gave me an idea about starting to focus on quality over quantity

Feeling small moments of efficiency in technique with these. Repetition starting to pay off! Lots to improve though.
