For me personally, it ultimately falls short compared to the JMS identity reveal scene, where May gets to have the full range of emotions, from terrified to most importantly furious and betrayed that Peter kept this secret from her.

This is just what sibling relationships are like.

At the same time, it was balanced really well with Peter's clear and well characterized grief over Harry -- and his avoidance of it and how he can use Spider-Man as a wall between him and his own emotions. Really good stuff.
