cw// attempted suicide. this issue wraps up quickly but pretty perfectly -- and it's another case of Ben/Peter needing someone else to dig him out of his rage, to allow him to reframe things for himself. The vehemence of "I was wrong" and the way it's quietly repeated.

Obsessed with this whole sequence, anyway. It's so good -- the lighting, the way Ben just loses control, the way he laughs when the gun is pointed at him. The wild look at the end and how it fades into horror.

No good commentary here, I'm really just still admiring the amount of personality and character JRjr always gets into his Peter Parker. What a good face. What a jerk. I love him.

Even the decision here to have Ben see Miles Warren while Kaine is confronted by the Jackal -- that first moment does a lot for the roles they'll take on. The Jackal is openly monstrous, but Miles Warren isn't less of one for wearing a pleasant face.

My favorite Curt Connors design is Ruggedly Handsome Manly Man Scientist Curt Connors. I think the designs that have him a little more wrung out and weird looking work better, but they're not nearly as much fun. He looks like Indiana Jones.

Just remember, if you ever think you might actually be a clone, your GP can clear that right up for you apparently. I like that Peter's economic status is once again the real dilemma -- it's not JUST the secret identity, it's that he apparently doesn't have health insurance.
