Back with the Rivals wallpapers!
With Adventure Mode being introduced into the game during the rebranding process and the golden trio from Dragon Quest II following soon after with True Set 2, of course we have some official material to properly celebrate the first trilogy!
Isn't August the best time to discuss New Year celebrations? Known in Japan as 正月 (lit. "the main month, the first of them all"), New Year's Day was pretty special in Rivals as you had the chance to grab all sorts of goodies: even our dear Amelia was dressed for the occasion!
Attention, duelists of yore!
Now that the official memorial site for Rivals is finally available, I feel it's only appropriate to inaugurate the section of my blog dedicated to all the translations and guides I worked on: here you go! https://t.co/MaLUBw71Ey

One could say your sleeves of choice are as important as the cards you put in your deck: they will communicate to other players what you like about the game and the series, and of course Rivals was no exception! These are some of my all-time favourites, what about yours?
Nostalgia Outfits from Rivals, round 2!
Last time we discussed what this series of alternate skins is and introduced some of them featuring the ladies, yet we need to make everyone happy, right? Here we go: Erik wearing his Pirate King set and Psaro with the Pandemonic gear!
Back with more Rivals trivia!

Seasonal events were a big deal in Rivals, as they gave players a chance to go for new skins featuring their favourite leaders. Many of these outfits were borrowed concepts from DQ X: the Noel costume for Terry, the Heavenly dress for Meena, even the Picaresque Coat for Psaro!
Back with Rivals and the brides from Dragon Quest V! The upgrade to the EX version was not exclusive to the hero card of Nera, and thanks to that we got to see how Bianca would look like in her wedding dress as well. But what about Debora? Sadly, she didn't get her chance...
This begs the question: do you have any favourites among these characters when it comes to party composition? I'm a big fan of the male version of the Mage and the female version of the Merchant, it was nice to see the latter as a brief cameo appearance in Dai!
Card feature #87: Parry & Madchen! This is going to be quite a long thread, but I feel it's appropriate to cover them together. After all, they are (literally) the poster children of Set 6 "Symphony of a Young Hope" and, without question, two powerful hero cards of the past
