they're not quite posed the same, but eyebrows? i've been wanting to try some realistic eyebrows and just today finally got into my texture folder on my external SSD
(i also messed w the eyelashes!)
which eyes?
the first one is the newer set i've been working with when i do more airbrush-y textures, but the more graphic style is brighter and livelier, and the stylistic mismatch makes them pop a bit
i needed a splatoon break so i did some texture exploring with a sports bra and i have discovered that yes, i still love doing gradient textures
one more quick update before i go to bed but i think i actually NAILED her hair color this time!
it's supposed to read as violet, but a believably natural ashy-grey black/brown shade of violet
manna p. cansel
one of her mothers will tell you the P stands for "pain in the ass," and the other one will give the first a look and say, "she doesn't even HAVE a middle name"
i love the idea of alternate "ok time for BUSINESS" hair for character designs
i don't even eat with my hair down, i can't imagine escaping the facility with my bangs in my gotdamn face the whole time
i got bored and started playing with a blend file full of old maya exports i'd saved, and thought it'd be fun to compare these headshots: one i tweeted in may 2019 and this screenshot i just took today
(the textures on the new one are unfinished but look at all those shapes)
irritating because i wanted these to travel as a set 😔 whatever its FINE
i've been doing eyelashes this way a while, but adding one extra simple deform to do a teeny bit of taper to the pivot point, it sells the flare of the lashes better than i could by hand! https://t.co/n6FQMBrgFN
doing some more linked copy shenanigans to rig up these shoulders, because boy do i hate not being able to see four arms at once
