Morning everyone! What exciting #sciart plans do you have?
I've got some orders to ship & I'm determined to get some drawing done today in between 100 other tasks!
As well as some randomer pieces that still helped me to hone my style
If I remember correct @IamSciArt started up around this time which was massively inspiring!
I loved both art & science as a kid but fell out of love with science in a BIG way as a teenager - high school science in Singapore left me bored & frustrated.
Meanwhile my love of art continued to grow & my intricate style developed from starting to do henna tattoos
I may be known for drawing salamanders and animal farts, but I also enjoy invertebrates of all kinds. My other comic is about a mantis shrimp.

Good morning, everyone! Today, I am thinking about a new idea for a comic, featuring little mites. When I’m working on new ideas, I tend to sketch out pages like this:
I've tweeted this one before, but I'm very proud of it, so am tweeting it again!
So - when I first dug out my old pencils and started to draw for purposes other than research or teaching again, what I drew were mostly studies of objects.
Good morning, and thanks to everyone who followed along with the mosses yesterday!
Today, I thought I would switch gears and talk a bit about my skull drawings.
Like this bighorn skull I showed you on Sunday.
@CMRobillard also does less technical colour pieces.
She studied tree base lichens and bryophytes in Stony Swamp for her honours thesis, and she clearly has a major soft spot for bryophytes.
