Ebenholz was the most done dirty in this event. His Voice of the Mundane turned out to be meaningless, his character development reset from Lingering Echoes, and he never got to truly face the Witch King, relegated as a weepy secondary character. It's insulting. 8/14

This admission turns them into narcissistic psychopaths when they claim the change that would destroy Leithanien society wouldn't be so bad because hey, *they* came to be born. Their goal is to demonstrate humanity. In doing so, they embody the worst aspects of it. 6/14

The Twin Empresses are most guilty of this, forcing top-down change in Leithanien society by allowing Cora to summon the Witch King and damage the Güldenesgesatz however much Grimmacht freely admits the Güld is the very basis of Leithanien society, however imperfect. 5/14

Life traps pervade the event and create an interesting sense of resentment towards the past, our obligations to the dead. In a rush to strip out anything that resembles the legacy of the Witch King, good and bad, the characters act badly.

The event speaks of what's possible in our lives, the constraints of our upbringing, circumstance, and necessity. Often we end up with duties that serve the world and its people at cost to our own happiness. The choice then is whether we remain steady or walk away.

Viviana Droste arrives back home to Leithanien but was unable to see her father, who was murdered. It becomes a race to prevent the next murder during a festival that celebrates the death of their former despot, the Witch King. 2/14

[ZWILLINGSTÜRME IM HERBST] is in the unenviable position of exploring many interesting ideas of fate, culture, and duty by so many interesting characters but executed in such a clumsy way that it induces far more net frustration than it does wonder. 🧵/14
