It's the Witch King's cruelty that resembles Hitler, since the Twin Empresses resemble post-WW2 West and East Germany (The downfall of EG mirroring Grimmacht's disappearance.) She doesn't die of course, because it's all about them rather than simple folk like Loris Bordin. 14/14

To close, a bit of trivia: The Witch King isn't fully based off everybody's favorite Austrian painter, but more of Otto von Bismarck, the Iron Chancellor who brought the German states into a unified nation-state from 1866-1871 after Napoleon's downfall. 13/14

The worst part of the event occurs in Kargereich where Fede and Viv enter in a "Therapist" sequence where they face themselves. Which is exactly the same sequence where Friston tests Kal and Doc's resolve in LONE TRAIL by creating illusions. It's lazy exposition. 11/14

What does it say about Arknight's optimism for humanity when two artificial beings were the only things that managed to beat the most powerful HUMAN in Terra?
The Twins create a problem by allowing the Echoes to act, then make themselves the solution. 9/14

Ebenholz was the most done dirty in this event. His Voice of the Mundane turned out to be meaningless, his character development reset from Lingering Echoes, and he never got to truly face the Witch King, relegated as a weepy secondary character. It's insulting. 8/14

This admission turns them into narcissistic psychopaths when they claim the change that would destroy Leithanien society wouldn't be so bad because hey, *they* came to be born. Their goal is to demonstrate humanity. In doing so, they embody the worst aspects of it. 6/14

The Twin Empresses are most guilty of this, forcing top-down change in Leithanien society by allowing Cora to summon the Witch King and damage the Güldenesgesatz however much Grimmacht freely admits the Güld is the very basis of Leithanien society, however imperfect. 5/14
