My dream job would be to illustrate a children's picture book, my biggest influences are the children's illustrators Miroslav Sasek, Mary Blair and the Provensens, so to be asked to do a book in a similar vein to them would be amazing.

My dream job would be a something figurative, something of a poster type project, where they give me the brief and tell to 'do my thing'.

As for a work/life balance, I simply manage my time to allow both. Projects can sometimes take over as if the deadline is short, then I just need to forgo everything until it is done.

I imagine and illustrate alternative worlds and lives, and also delve into my own childhood memories, such as the building of an imaginary space rocket or pirate ship from household furniture and belongings.

Q: Why did you become an illustrator?
A: To create original images all day is what I love to do most. I am a very visual person, and often find it easier to think ‘in pictures,’ and it’s something that comes quite naturally to me.
