Next up we get this glorious introduction to our remaining champions, props to David Wachter and Neeraj Menon for this beautiful image. This is, to my knowledge, the first time Bride Of Nine Spiders has spoken in an Iron Fist comic. She's usually silent, save for creepy laughter.

However, it arguably shows that the Big Bad must be pretty impressive to get Taskmaster to behave so... reverential. I also particularly like this bit of lettering from Travis Lanham, with what I interpret as a thin, raspy, voice emerging from the keyhole of this door. Top stuff.

I really appreciate how both Amadeus and Bruce started with "scrawny nerd turns into scary brute" and found a synthesis as "awkward himbo"

Honestly the only non-Marvel comics on my pull list are Commanders In Crisis and Fire Power 😅

So I actually managed to get my copy of Iron Fist #HeartOfTheDragon 🐉 a day early, so here's some No Context Spoilers for Issue 4.

Victor Alvarez has an instantly classic suit. A youthful modernisation of Luke Cage's aesthetic and a design which was clearly so successful as to be adapted into the teenage Luke we see in the Ultimate Spider-Man animated series. It just lacks, as many Marvel heroes do, a logo.

Shadowland: Blood On The Streets is, at its core, a Misty Knight story, although Paladin, Shroud, and Silver Sable also star. Someone is framing The Hand for a series of murders, and Misty is determined to discover who. Also, she's pregnant, so she probably ought to be careful.

@wallace_rhys Well, I'm no expert on Luke, but honestly it's not that his portrayal in Power Man & Iron Fist is bad, it just has weird inconsistencies between what we're told and what we're shown. I think his modern appearances get closer to what we expect from his character nowadays.
