DEMON DAYS: MARIKO
Huh, so Peach Momoko's cool and interesting officially licensed fanfiction AU is a secret 5 Issue mini-series? I'm very down for that. I've still yet to read the first issue, but I am very into the idea of this doing well and other creators doing similar.
MARVEL VOICES: PRIDE
idk how Marvel Voices has been selling but I'm glad it exists to highlight the underrepresented corners of the Marvel Universe. Anthology books are probably the best place for these characters now, the hope of course being that they get a bigger push later.
INFINITE DESTINIES: IRON MAN and CAPTAIN AMERICA
Infinity Wars may have been underwhelming, despite giving us the marvelous Infinity Warps, but I am not immune to the intrigue of this sequel. The main draw is the commitment to introducing a whole bunch of cool new characters.
AMERICAN KNIGHTS and NIGHT-GWEN
As always, for me, the most exciting thing about any big status-quo shake-up is the opportunity for comic creators to go wild with one-shot stories they would otherwise never have the opportunity to tell.
These two are Marvel's take on Gotham.
HEROES REBORN #5-7 and HEROES RETURN (one-shot)
This was, of course to be expected. This is a prime example of how I don't need to be surprised by a story to look forward to reading it. If Jason Aaron wants to find any excuse to write the JL vs the Avengers then I'm up for it!
I talk about these often enough that I doubt I even need to post the panels, but here they are anyway. https://t.co/o5numpgebU
Look at this cover art! Look at my girl! She's so cute! I'm certain the plot will be nowhere near as adorable as this!
It's clear that by this point @DaveWachter had settled into the world of Iron Fist and knew exactly how best to visualise the pure excitement of his action scenes. This panel is beautiful.
Here's a useful reaction image to sum up every Iron Fist story ever!
