@lhaping Just looked it up to confirm my curiosity and it's absolutely where the original series was going with it before the (admittedly quite sensible) retcon that Wendell was adopted by Tuan
War Of The Realms Strikeforce: The Land Of Giants is a comic with a long title and some good Iron Fist content
I've only read issue 1 so far, but The Union is properly fulfilling my desire for a fleshed out view on Britain in the Marvel Universe. I sincerely hope this team finds a future in further books after this mini-series finishes. The characters feel fully realised from the start.
Also out today is issue 1 of the new Silk series and this looks like an incredibly fun classic superhero story which is exactly what I want from Silk tbh; Spider-Man without the baggage. Maurene Goo is a newcomer to comics, whereas Takeshi Miyazawa's past work is a personal fave.
Out now! The collection of the recent Shang-Chi mini-series by @geneluenyang, @dike_ruan, and @PhilipTanArt
A great reinvention to the character and a wonderful entry point to the martial arts side of Marvel. The book has a wit and an emotional core wrapped in spectacular action.
So when I first read the rumours about the end of #HeartOfTheDragon I was excited! Getting Larry Hama of all people to write an end (of sorts) to Danny's story and the start (I had assumed) of Pei's. Sounds fantastic! But then I saw the cover artwork for the final issue. Huh.
Currently doing a Shadowland read-through. I'm enjoying it! A really cool crossover event with a tight focus. I'll be giving my thoughts on these three tie-ins as I read them, since they're most directly related to Iron Fist characters.
IRON FIST: HEART OF THE DRAGON (#6 of 6)
Alright. Here it is. The grand finale to a story readers are only halfway through. I have a strong gut reaction to what SEEMS to be happening here, but I shan't speak too much on the matter until I have the full story. Cautious optimism.
MILES MORALES: SPIDER-MAN and BLACK CAT
Now THAT is how you do a Clone Saga cover. I'm liking the look of this storyline, and this book hasn't disappointed me yet.
"idk man why is black cat selling so well it just seems like an average anti-hero book what's the big-IRON FIST??"
SHANG-CHI and REPTIL
These two books look like classic comic romps. Entertainment front and center, no idea too wacky. I have nothing more to say beyond "I'll be reading these as soon as I possibly can and I hope they continue for many months to come." I hope you all join me.
