Well this sure looks like fun! Arcade and his Murderworld are always a good time. For us, the readers, at least. Not for the poor unfortunate souls trapped in the deadly game, of course! For them it's a terrible awful no good time of suffering and upset. Plus, I like Jim Zub.
I did not, of all things, expect these specific prayers to be answered! Tiger Division (the South Korean superhero team) are getting their own five issue miniseries! Finally some depth will be given to the excellent character concepts we've seen popping up every now and then.
I've read a few Deadpool comics before. I like the movies. This will be the first time I buy a series as it comes out. After their excellent Iron Fist miniseries I am committed to following @crashwong wherever they go next. (which reminds me, I need to get into Doctor Aphra)
The Judgement Day finale. We're only a little bit into this event right now and I have thoroughly loved every issue and tie-in. It has played into our expectations of the form and taken some really impressively big and clever swings, and I fully expect that to continue.
"Hmm, I'm not too interested in the Fantastic Four lately, which is a shame."
"Ryan North is writing and the comic will focus on single-issue storylines."
SOLD. A MILLION COPIES RIGHT NOW THANK YOU.
Plus, remind me to talk some time about the Marvel Now and All-New All-Different eras of the Marvel trinity because boy oh boy do I have thoughts! I am wondering why this absolutely gorgeous cover is highlighting them though lmao. Why is the statue of liberty there as well?
Fah Lo Suee, initially appearing in the 1917 novel THE HAND OF FU MANCHU, was adapted into the Shang-Chi comics in 1975 as his half-sister. She would lead the Golden Daggers, much like in the movie. She'd later be renamed Zheng Bao Yu when Marvel lost the rights to the novels.
Since I figure @lesliegrace wouldn't want all of her martial arts training to go to waste, I figure she might as well bring Ava Ayala, the White Tiger, to live action. And Brendan Fraser wouldn't be a bad Gideon Mace, either. I'd like to see it.
@kierongillen @crashwong @Micheal_YG @79SemiFinalist @Al_Ewing @tomreillyart @GailSimone @philnoto @JimZub @SeanIzaakse @marescaluca Post-apocalyptic Namor is one helluva pitch. Count me in. @ifyoucantwell and @PasqualFerry, you have my attention.
@kierongillen @crashwong @Micheal_YG Wait, this series has lasted for FORTY-TWO ISSUES? Damn, long may the great work of @79SemiFinalist continue. I'm excited for some attention to be given to the Ell family, I was worried they may end up fading into the background considering how wide-spanning this series has been.
