I love the @Octocon committee.

When pressed as to why I haven't read #artemisfowl, I explain that due to #dyslexia I don't usually read a lot of prose for fun. I usually have to dedicate that time and effort to work related reading.

So they sent me the comic adaptation. ❤

@Twopaw1 @NonbinarySaru I believe that was an idea posited by Gene Roddenberry and locked into cannon with Mike Okuda adding it to the writers tech manual.

The probable reason for Gene suggesting it was that in the early scripts for #startrek the Enterprise is named for the aircraft carrier Yorktown.

IT'S GOOD!

Like any #StarTrek show I went in neutral. Not hyped up. Trying not to expect anything and engage with the story put in front of me.

Boy was I rewarded. #LowerDecks just landed and kept landing one fun moment after another. I'm here for this.

@Teknogrot @ArtofTrek It was prity funny at the time. Because he allways has these romantic portraits that at times only bared a passing resemblance to the man in the novel.

Even in the comics it was fairly minimal to the point where you weren't sure it was there at times.

@CSharpWords I'm kinda tempted to pick up some whiskey and do the #IronManVR "Demon in a bottle" style.

@NursepollyRgn I suppose it depends how much you think about your resting place.

After I'm dead, I'm not sure I'd mind what happens. My remains wouldn't even make a particularly good cup.
