Women's costumes of the Ryazan-Oka culture were quite complex. Decorated headresses, necklaces, torcs, breast plates, rings and belts with pendants were worn by the elite women.

Metal objects, weapons and armour are abundant in this culture, including brooches, belt buckles, horse equipment, double and single-edged swords, spearheads, celt axes and fragments of chainmail armour. Typical Finno-Ugric bronze decorations like two-horse pendants are found.

Bursin and Selta Čunypi. Two brothers in Udmurt legend who ruled over and defended the Kalmez and Možga lands from Mari invaders. After Bursin was killed by the Maris, Selta is said to have avenged him by burning Mari villages.

Historically Komis used both straight double-edged swords and Bulgar-style sabres. Yugrans mostly made their own designs, their nandao-like ring-pomelled swords appear quite often in bronze cast depictions of the time.
