Also personal theory/speculation, Shalamayne is actually a Draconic-Titan sword, forged during the War of the Ancients and given to the Night Elves. Its origins aren't really known for *who* crafted it, just that it was wielded/named by night elves (similar to the other blades).

I wonder if in Dragonflight we'll see the return (or uprez) of dragon / elemental-related blades of legend, such as Quel'Delar and Quel'Serrar. Quel'Serrar in particular has a pretty old model and never has been uprezzed before.
