From the latest Cartoonist Kayfabe episode on the Outlaw comics holy grail, Caliber Presents #1, and here is the back cover art to that issue, The Crow by James O'Barr. What a striking image.
You can watch Ed and Jim break down the issue here:

I have a strong feeling that @ComicPerch has either one or both these Superman III comic adaptations somewhere.
I wonder if there will be a Two-Face that looks like Billy Dee Williams in the comic, guess I'll have to find out.
Related is some art from years ago where I tried my hand at imagining what a Billy Dee Two-Face would look like.
First seeing anything of this, but looks interesting.
Batman '89 written by Sam Hamm with art by Joe Quinones
Superman '78 written by Rob Venditti with art by Wilfredo Torres
They'll be digital first starting July 27, six chapters each, then print comics after that.
Avengers #181 from March 1979, written by David Michelinie and penciled by John Byrne, where to be reinstated and get clearances back Gyrich pares down the Avengers and picks Falcon to join the team to satisfy Affirmative Action, Iron Man and Quicksilver aren't too happy.
@ComicPerch Well... at least it may take the title of worst animated Aquaman from the Filmation series(which I loved) so that's one positive note.
In the recent comics retrospective on "Scott Pilgrim" that @ComicPerch and @JoeCorallo did(you can watch the video here: https://t.co/8E3fAewi9w) Joe mentioned the Paul Pope OGN "Battling Boy" one of my favorite comics of the last decade, that I wish there was more of, but isn't.
He sure is a mix, it wasn't a direct 1:1 deal as Captain Atom's power set was nowhere near as vast as Dr. Solar's, and the nuke symbol on Dr. Solar having scarier connotations than Captain Atom's symbol.
Also Dr. Solar had amazing covers. https://t.co/ktSxnr2Ear
Lot of nods from comics that made it into the Matrix movies. Like the reveal that Johnny Bates was Kid Marvelman the whole time, surrounded by lightning being echoed in Agent Smith in The Matrix Revolutions.
@PunchDrunkKing Ha, Warlock goes about it better than what happened with the Plastic Man/Big Barda deal.
