Sam was thirsting after Magma and he foolishly white knighted her so hard a demon bear nearly ate the Earth, then he got gut punched by Wolfsbane, ending up in the fetal position, I guess his suffering was worth it.

To say that Sam Guthrie/Cannonball is dense to Lila Cheney's intentions, is a understatement.
