final version of the rocket legs :)
the booster part on the back is rigged to slide back and forth as the leg bends to make space behind the knee
now we're starting to get somewhere :)
the mechanical parts are all still quite low-detail placeholders, and no textures or anything yet. Legs aren't rigged, so the idle animation is a little stiff...
also yeah there's the current WIP of the character model. The mechanical parts are still sort of placeholders lol i have no idea why i'm doing details like cloth wrinkles at this stage
you can get (approximate) shading on surfaces with just a dot product to the center of the cube (light source)
from the projected position you can get the falloff with whatever falloff function you want, and multiply together. Then just add with alpha blend
playing around with geo nodes and lineart again - here's a little weird surface brick thingy idk
I had an exam this morning and fell asleep at my desk immediately after, so my brain is completely fried today lol
I randomly felt like making something fun (???) so I made the lowest effort, most scrunkly robot i could manage
here's how it looks in the viewport - all it's doing is twisting the mesh, but it also instances some spheres on it which allow it to maintain volume and "blobbiness", without them it looks kinda flat (last 2 image comparison)
