Finally finished all of these!

.. and while he starts off with clean hands, he doesn't end that way.

Lavi enters the scene red-handed! They made their moral decision early on, but Xaviul doesn't, and is instead put into the unfortunate situation of:

It's a war. No one's hands stay clean by the end.

And Xaviul's sympathies towards them ultimately is not that great - it leads to LL siding with SA1 (yay!) in the end, and his drift towards that alignment is indicated here. He goes for the Red Door! He grabs the door handle, embracing SA1's methods, at least literally..

The component parts of SA1, much like the whole, still fucking suck. They're dangerous to the club kids! They're dangerous to each other, and to themselves. The tiger may be cute, and it's sad that it's caught in a trap, but it's still a tiger.

Xaviul sympathises heavily with the Watchers and the Sleepers in SA1! The bloodied sleeper at the start is a reference to the "don't our bodies matter?" lament of the Lucids, but it's also the set-up for a visual indicator of the fact..

Each page has a border! The border marks the state of Xaviul, specifically, throughout: when he's possessed, the border's more akin to the geometric runes present throughout the game, and the state of "eyes open / eyes shut" is also depicted on the borders.
