#MGBooktober Day 15: I didn't actually read this book until I was an adult, but I really identified with Jess in The Bridge to Terabithia by Katherine Paterson. Jess is an artistic kid growing up on a farm, and he lost someone important to him.
#MGBooktober Day 12: This Canadian will pick The Apprentice Witch (by English author @JamesENicol), Doctor Proctor's Fart Powder (by Norwegian author Jo Nesbo), and Inside Out & Back Again (by Vietnamese-American author @ThanhhaLai). All very different!
Today’s day 1 of #MGBooktober! Is there any better way to travel than by the winegrower of some majestic magical creature? (It's what I was thinking when I came up with the skyger for The Secret of Zoone.)
A5) I've always enjoyed books where the magic wasn't "certain" or the book wasn't high-fantasy, like The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane, or Fortunately the Milk, or Butterfly Lion. #MGBookChat
A reader posted this amazing piece of artwork—her version of Tug the skyger from The Secret of Zoone, and I so love it! Those ears!
@niladri_m @BrockTIPenner Hi, #writingcommunity! Latest release is "The Secret of Zoone"--the sequel "The Guardians of Zoone" is due out in February!
Anyone want to "adopt" me? @WORD_Vancouver on Sep29 is free to the public, but as part of the fundraising, they ask people to adopt authors. There are many still available—including me! You can find out more here: https://t.co/D8q8Nj6PNO
Hi #MGbookchat! I'm Lee, a MG author and specialized arts educator. I've had a great start to the school year so far, working with lots of young creative writers—including a program for neurodiverse teens.
