Earlier this summer, we read and discussed The Twelve by @cindylin_tweets in Wizard Summer School, and one of my students connected with the book by producing this lovely painting of Usagi. 🐰🐰🐰
In between leading my weekly wizard school workshops, I co-taught a creative writing camp with the theme of Shipwreck for tweens and teens! It was a bit of safari meets pirates meets survival.
It was another week of designing and writing about wizard schools, and my students conjured up more magic.
Discussing Witch Hat Atelier by @shirahamakamome in today's wizard school class!
@KylaMcDonald10 I couldn't fit in every book cover into the spread, but here's one more. PSA: when searching for book images while sharing your screen with the class, make sure you add the term "book cover" to "mouse heart". Otherwise . . . yeah, it's an interesting class reaction.
Here you go, @kmcmac74 ! I took a cue from @kevinarts and have given you both color and black and white!

Quote of the week for the teens in my creative writing class:
“A life spent making mistakes is not only more honorable, but more useful than a life spent doing nothing.”
~ George Bernard Shaw
Love this project my friend Dan Bar-el has put together: A Child's First Book of Lies. Ah, to live in the brain of Dan—teachers, this could be a great resource for your middle-grade students. https://t.co/TN0bszKEX1
