I've always thought that the auras looked cooler when they weren't transparent.

They kept playing around with the hair for a little bit after Super Saiyan Full Power became a thing, but it wasn't nearly as fun as in the Freeza and mid-Cell arcs.

And then, they mostly kept it static and 'on-model', which is boring.
