One of my favorite things about classic Dragon Ball that's been missing in the modern era is that whenever Goku flew or powered-up in his base form, the shape of his hair would change completely into a huge, fluffy pillow. It was cool and it was also fun to watch in motion
In my opinion, even the 'worst episodes of Z' look more appealing than the plastic ages of DB.
Why would you ever want Dragon Ball Z to get remastered if the standard visuals would look so bad? Most DB fans don't even like good animation anyways, they just want pretty pictures.
The highlights bother me a lot, but that second layer of shading that doesn't do anything and doesn't add depth to the face is 100% pointless.
At last, a part where the remake is an upgrade. Thank you, God Shida.
It could've looked a lot better without the corrections, I'm sure of that.
Easy way to compare how inexpressive the characters from modern Dragon Ball used to look when you compare them to their classic era counterparts.
The shot from Super isn't badly drawn, by the way. It's just really bland.
