21st December - Midwinter. This cover, by John Hassall, the Poster King, for December 1900 cover of The Poster mag has the right mood I think. Hassall did 3 covers in total for the publication, which was first published in 1898, coinciding with a craze for the 'artistic poster'

Another original Hassall I missed out on. Bid what I could but this went for £300 . Wonder who bought it? Would love this to be included if I ever do another Hassall exhibition. Perhaps I should unsubscribe from https://t.co/NdOdehuEmk to avoid this heartache

Just did a podcast about Kate Meyrick in which it took 50 minutes to figure out how to get onto Teams on my husband's Macbook (because my laptop's camera & speakers don't work). Was at breaking point until husband sorted. Quite enjoyed podcast in the end thank god.

Don't want to bring everyone down or anything but I always feel a twinge of sadness when June is over. Like, it's all downhill from here, until end of March next year. (Pic )
