Horus thinking about Seth's underwater "kiss" hurts so bad. ;;; He's wanted Seth's love ever since he was a child, and he's only getting something that *resembles* it during a fight when he's supposed to be Seth's greatest enemy.
....He's literally the god of pining. (*꒦ິ꒳꒦ີ)
+It's for this very reason that Anubis begins to transform and grow again when Nephthys reveals that Osiris is his actual biological father, because to him, the idea that Seth is not his father by blood means that his family will never be as it was, and perhaps also causes him,++
+thus solidifying Anubis' "childlike" character. His naivety also fuels his guilty conscience as he almost blames himself for Seth's cruelty, whilst still knowing that it is Seth's own doing. These complicated emotions are also very human- which to gods can be seen as immature.++
+in itself being a sign of his innocence and kindness, as he isn't able to kill his father even after all he's done, but also a great sign of his naivety, as Anubis believes that said inability to kill is the reason why Seth wants him to become a peaceful god like Nephthys,++
Anubis doing his thinking in front of the hieroglyphs depicting him and Seth spending time together is so devastating; I can't even imagine how much he misses those times. Mojito-Nim also does such an excellent job at isolating him in this scene, it feels *so* lonely.
This interaction between Seth and Hathor always makes me laugh because Seth was literally causing problems on purpose.......he was just being mean for no reason at all. 😭😭😭
...But admittedly it's the things like this that makes me love him more. ( 〃..)
The illustration of Seth in the Chinese translation announcement is gorgeous!!!! (○´□`)♡ I'm in love......
Horus begging Seth to stop fighting in the middle of the battlefield is something I will never get over, especially with the way he does it. It's just so tender and full of admiration, especially noting that the first panel is right after Seth ripped out his wing too.... (O∆O;;)
+This trait is also a very key demonstration of Horus' level-headedness, because it emphasises that he doesn't blindly trust all of Sekhmet's words -just like he says so himself when Sekhmet tells him of Isis' plans - which is another trait of his that I really appreciate!++
+this is still due to his inability to consider that Seth is hesitating rather than going easy on him, again because he doesn't get how Seth can doubt himself, though us readers know that Osiris' manipulation did affect him and that he was hesitating throughout this chapter.++
