+This is also seen in the 3rd trial, when Horus accepts Seth's statement of "letting him off easy," and thinks that Seth IS going easy on him, even though Seth HAD actually lost to him before. (such as in the 2nd trial and when the fought when Horus was possesed by the mirror.)++
+Horus simply cannot grasp that Seth could EVER view himself as weak, because since to him, Seth is by far the strongest and most undefeatable god when it comes to battle, he therefore thinks that Seth himself should know his strengths. ++
#ENNEAD + Horus analysis//
I think that one of my favourite qualities about Horus is his absolute inability to comprehend that Seth is weak and that Seth views himself at weak, even if only a little. Like in this scene below, where even after Sekhmet tells him,++
ENNEAD s2//
S2 Seth is so foolish but it's SO nice to see a lighthearted version of him again. It reminds me of the Seth at the start of the manhwa when he used to make terribly cringey jokes...except now he's just so angry all the time in the goofiest of ways. (˃ ⌑ ˂ഃ )
ENNEAD S2 spoilers//
I like that the last chapter portayed the darker side in these goddesses through their disregard for human life and hypocrisy. Isis killed an innocent and Hathor didn't react poorly, which is SO jarring, considering that Seth's cruelty was shamed by them.
ENNEAD season 2 eng spoilers//
I adore how Seth acts with this child. (;﹏;) We witness so much more of his kindness and humanity when he interacts with and thinks of this kid; I just love this softer side of him that I previously only thought we'd really see with Anubis.( ´꒳`)
ENNEAD season 2 spoilers//
I'm so glad we got to see them again; it was such a pleasant surprise! And they're both so beautiful here......wow..... ( 〃..) I also love seeing Maat's more affectionate side, so this was really nice. They're so sweet with each other. 😭😭💝
Horus immediately worrying about Seth the moment he's no longer in danger just makes this scene so POWERFUL, and the fact that he's this desperate to save Seth despite being so heavily injured *because* of Seth just adds to it. He's one dedicated nephew. ╥﹏╥
This panel sequence is so painful; we go from Seth comforting a crying Anubis, and it's like you can FEEL his warmth and love. Then we see Anubis crying again, this time alone and because of Seth. The contrast between their past relationship and their current one is devastating.
+Although, despite how detrimental some of these weaknesses are, ultimately, his love for Anubis is still what motivates him to accept his punishment, showing us a much more positive side of having them, and how he's a much better person than he portrayed himself to be.++
