+And just as Seth says so himself, Anubis has always been his biggest weakness, and many know this and use it against him. In Osiris' case particularly, Anubis was used as a set up to get Seth where he wanted, and therefore used to create even more weaknesses in him, such as++

+However, the moment his loneliness is brought up, Seth gets agitated; when Sekhmet reminds him of it, it sets him off greatly. It's clear that this is a sore spot and weakness for him, even though he tries to cover it up behind a facade of violence and anger.++

+Then in the 2nd trial, we still see him denying the possibility of Anubis' betrayal, just like when Horus stabs him. This is because HE still loves Anubis, and perhaps thinks that Anubis wouldn't go this far, but also probably because he can't accept how truly alone he is.++

+And again, this may just be seen as him drawing a comparison with Osiris (as he was the previous king.) However, we learn later that Osiris had told him something similar; that peace belongs to the "strong," and that's why Nephthys had chosen to have his child instead.++

+His weakness and the effects of Osiris' manipulation is so obvious in his subconscious reactions in that scene, and even in how he speaks. Seth, while comparing himself to Osiris, states that he thinks it's his strength that makes him rightfully king,++

+We then move on to the court scene, where Seth is clearly upset from Osiris' appearance. In a first reading, this may come across as just anger - but after readers read more of the manhwa, we learn that this is fear. Seth is both terrified of Osiris and being seen as a victim.++

+However, with that being said, some vulnerabilities are shown even in the start, like how when Horus stabs him, Seth's first immediate reaction is to look at Anubis, and with the hindsight that readers get later on, we learn that this is probably him worrying about his son.++

spoilers + Seth analysis//

I really love how Seth's weaknesses and vulnerabilities are portrayed throughout the story, and surprisingly even in the early chapters of the manhwa; from Seth's first appearance, he's introduced as extremely violent and a tyrant. ++

The fact that Seth kept looking back on the jars containing Anubis' soul hurts so much; it's like he was reminding himself what he was suffering for, and it's what forced him to pull through. You could see how much pain he was in, but also how desperate he was to save his son.

Before reading ENNEAD, I never would've imagined that sand powers could be *this* astonishing. The objects and creatures Seth makes with his abilities are so beautiful, and yet daunting! Not to mention how cool it is that he can also become sand, and not just control it. 😭😭
