Yokaitober Day 23: Hainu

A~Un... huh? A hainu is a winged dog youkai, but I've decided to also make this hainu Shishi in the guardian dog pair. They're twins. There are many things they represent.

The long neck always reminds me of a snake, so I tried to convey that through the green parka, whether it's a hit or miss. I don't do modern designs very often, so it was a bit of a challenge, even for how basic it is.

I've never really cared for the rokurokubi. Their designs are just a little too weird for my tastes. They seem like a kind of youkai that... certain people would be into, y'know? Anyway, ha! You thought her neck was normal?

Yokaitober Day 21: Maneki-neko

The famed 'lucky cat'. Ryoushi is actually not a maneki-neko, but she has maneki-neko themes, like the pattern on her kimono. She's a Touhou OC based off of the song 'Schrödinger's Bakeneko'.

Nure-onna is a vampiric youkai who pose as women who need help with their 'baby'. While her prey is busy, she strikes, draining their blood through her serpentine tongue. A very scary youkai indeed.
