A youkai made from smoke. They say that you can see faces in the smoke as it rises. Some people say that an enenra is the spirits of the dead, judged by Enma.

She looks kinda like a warrior, doesn't she? I didn't want to make her exclusively either major depiction of tengu, so the crow feathers and crow "familiar" represent the karasu tengu and the red palette and outfit represent the yamabushi tengu.

Whether it's a crow or a red man with a long nose, the tengu has always been an important figure in Shinto mythology. Of course, me not liking tengu is a joke (because I don't like Aya)

Yokaitober Day 10: Yuki-onna

Spirit of the snow. I debated whether I should draw Bianca or Noelle, both snow-related characters of mine, neither of which are explicitly yuki-onna, but Noelle is fashioned after the ice queen tale, so Bianca it was.

Concept art for this lion-dog. Komainu has its paw over a cub representing the circle of life and is the yin to Shishi's yang. So I gave her a stuffed lion-dog and a black magatama on her ear.

A~Un~ Komainu is one of the guardian dogs of a shinto shrine. It is the 'un' dog, with its mouth closed and a horn on its head. The other one, the 'a' dog is named Shishi.
