More for . Here's the large Chalk pterosaur Cimoliopterus cuvieri, a species that inspired (at least in part) the larger CP pterosaur models. This image is an updated one from my 2013 book (actually drawn in 2011: it took time to get that book together).

I've been very quiet here recently because of a final push on post-review edits for LTTAII. I'm nearly there - last round of major edits tonight, and then a final proofread before it's sent off for designing. Am currently adding notes about Dinocrocuta.

Probably my best non-pterodactyloids in flight to date, if it helps. Shows what we've been discussing here as goes flight leg and toe posing.

It's which is all the excuse I need to post this of the large aquatic sloth Thalassocnus. Darwin never knew of this species or the awesomeness of aquatic sloths in general, but he recovered many bones of other large and giant extinct sloths in his travels.

For here's 2016 of Spinolestes, an exceptionally well-known Cretaceous mammal from Spain. We know a lot about its skin and fur (except on the tail - the bushiness shown here is speculation) and also the shape of its ear pinnae, which makes me very happy.

Your periodic reminder that all good data we have on giant pterosaur anatomy and biomechanics points to well developed flight capabilities, even though they were the size of giraffes.

It's been a slow month for sharing new art because everything I'm working on atm is embargoed or even top secret. Here's some Iguanodon from last year to keep my feed warm.
