On this morning’s walk this was the most prolific sound apart from the rumbling noise of traffic. I couldn’t see any, but somewhere in the beech trees that line the cemetery I heard these songs. Great tit I think
(Think the sketches included with my recording are by Frank Jarvis)

20. Back on the Lighthouse trail. This one being one of the many that were placed in and around Aberdeen. A New Season by Clare Terris. Filled with visuals of spring as a reminder that a new season brings with it new perspectives.

Mists and the salt and ache of a keen North Easterly breeze. Wandering various streets in the overbearing darkness listening to rainsong

Picture Puffin book number 46. A Children's Alphabet designed and drawn by Grace Gabler @ 1945. Gabler was in Ambleside during WW2, where the Royal College of Art had decamped from London. Her friend designed wooden blocks for her degree piece whilst Grace designed this book.

Met up with my old fisherman friend (that expression always makes me smile and think of my grandad and his packet of lozenges in his pocket) again yesterday. Just on his way home from bringing his lobster catch in.

Drawn to this by the cover.

The music's not bad either. 😉 Simeon Walker - Winnow.
Wonderfully calm, introspective piano-based instrumentals. Finding a few moments of much needed stillness.

What is a River.
A wonderful picture book by Monika Vaicenavičiene. Detailed and thought provoking. An inspirational lens through which the interconnectedness of our shared earth can be understood.
