I'll chop between 'recently read' & 'genuinely brilliant'. I just 'revisited' Sonya Harnett & Laura Carlin's 'The Silver Donkey' & 'read' Race to the Frozen North & The Wanderer (both genuinely as good as people say. Classic 'genuinely brilliant' book is Tuck Everlasting

A book that we all need, Anne. I hope more are written soon about the generation too so that we can share these important stories. I have read and LOVED these by Floella Benjamin and it seems she has been a part of my life from when I was very little indeed.

Thank you SO much for this interview. I learned lots about the process & story behind Mason Mooney. You have been extremely generous. Do take a look & enjoy everyone

At this time, there'd been no real critical discussion on what 'good' meant. Yet Bumpus provided her a growing critique:
1.Picture books by modern artists were worth investing in. She showed a particular love for William Nicholson's illustrations noting these as favourites.(2/2)

The King Who Banned the Dark 'features' a castle of sorts but is so good and obviously Jackie Morris' 'Tell Me a Dragon' is a visual delight.

I want to celebrate excellent set of plans around & Oliver Jeffers' Imaginary Fred. I remember vividly the delight I felt when presented with these & how well Avital tapped into the books' central themes. Good luck tomorrow! https://t.co/6DH8EfLGXD

A lot of love & care has gone into Year 1 plans for touching story. Immersive & creative ideas here that celebrate the book's themes. Adored the robot you made as well and the presentation. ( ) https://t.co/tS8Nc7Lw2F
