Classic Sonic WIP experiment, part 2!
Figured out the cuffs and starting to figure out the hands.
Made a few other tweaks too. Shoes, eyes and leg positioning, etc... Still need to add the shoe buckles.
Gonna try learning American Sonic or Adventure shading after this.
So, I haven't checked if anyone else noticed this yet but... Breath of Wild 2 theory time!
Link will travel back in time and become the legendary hero from BotW 1's tapestry.
His new outfit and loose hair matches the depiction of hero. See the green cloak with a similar pattern?
Petition to make March 11, Marii day.
Just an entire day devoted to slightly off brand looking Mario Miis.
Honestly, the variety is impressive.
I originally had a more dusty looking version. I'm still not entirely sure which is better.
Of course art in a finished book would likely be black and white anyway.
Though I don't think this will probably be used beyond my initial pitching for funding and publishing.
Zelda 2 had a fairy spell, which in truth didn't turn Link into one but allowed you to control a fairy companion.
A Link to the Past was initially envisioned as having 3 playable characters. A fighter, magic user and 'girl'.
Zelda 2's fairy was originally designed for this game.
Tbh I don't mind as much how this turned out as I did last night.
I originally wanted a more scratchy look but messing with the colours, gradients and noise in photoshop made it look a bit better.
Not massively fond of the eye shape but eh for a quick sketch its fine.
Anywho, here's a late night Sonic doodle that I didn't like so I threw a ton of filters over it and called it a day.
Didn't have too much time to work on my Mario 35th artwork today, but he's slowly getting there!
Did quite a few small tweaks to his face. It's not perfect but I'm pretty happy with how he looks.
The astute amongst you can probably figure out what my eventual drawing will be...
So some stuff that's sorta been buried under all the exciting Ocarina news are these early models of Link.
People are suggesting they're from a N64 tech demo.
However they're apparently in Koizumi's files... so I speculate this might be his Zelda 2 polygon remake prior to OoT?
